Send your First Broadcast!

Broadcasting is a crucial part for sending promotional and general-purpose updates to the end customers for any business.

​BotSpace helps you Broadcast messages to your customers with ease.

There are multiple ways you can Broadcast to your customers using BotSpace - In this article we are going to look at how you can send a Broadcast using Contact Filtering. We also support the following options -

  • Import from File

  • BotSpace Contact List

  • HubSpot List

  • Shopify Segments

Navigate to the BotSpace Dashboard and select WhatsApp from the Side Drawer

Select the Broadcast from the Side Drawer and then click on the Create broadcast button.


You are now looking at the Broadcast Creation Form - Select the Channel you want to send the Broadcast from and change the default name of the Broadcast as per your requirements.


You will now select the Template you want to send after which Add recipients section will open. In this section you can select who do you want to send the Broadcast by selecting a option. We support the following options you can add recipients to a Broadcast -

  • Contact Filtering - Filter the contacts present in BotSpace based on time-range and labels

  • Import from File - Import contacts from an external CSV

  • BotSpace Contact List

  • HubSpot List - Contact Lists from the connected HubSpot Integration on BotSpace

  • Shopify Segments - Shopify Segments from the connected Shopify Integration on BotSpace


You will now select the Filter contact Tab and select the Contact created time range and Label to filter the contacts you want to send the Broadcast.


You can also exclude the Contacts that you don't want to send the Broadcast using the same options you add recipients.

You can now send the Broadcast to the selected recipients either by Sending Immediately or Schedule for Later.

If you select Sending Immediately option you will be prompted with a Confirmation dialog - click on the Start button to send the broadcast!

If you select Schedule for Later option you will be prompted to select a Date-Time for when the broadcast should be sent - click on the Schedule button to schedule the broadcast!

After you start or schedule a Broadcast it can move to any of the following states

  • Queuing - The Broadcast is being processed and will be sent in a while

  • Sending - The Broadcast is being sent to the filtered recipients

  • Scheduled - The Broadcast is scheduled and it will be sent during the scheduled time

  • Completed - The Broadcast has been sent to the filtered recipients

  • Cancelled - The Broadcast has been cancelled. This can be done only for Scheduled Broadcasts

You can click on the Broadcast to get more information about it - the delivery status, progress as well as export contacts
